The ability to identify pitchers at risk for injury could be valuable to a professional baseball organization. Preseason shoulder strength was measured for all pitchers in a professional baseball organization over a 5-year period (2001-2005). Preseason weakness was associated with injury and surgery. So determination of weakened muscles during the preseason could help reduce the surgeries.

The computerized testing equipment is the same that is used in our Maximum Effect Workout Testing Center.

What does the exam entail?

Muscle Strength Testing and Range of Motion Testing:

Upper extremity 

            Neck

            Lower Back

            Lower Extremity    

Over 30 tests to find and isolate the weaker areas of your body.

           

Once the data is collected, it is processed and, in moments, you have a list of muscles that you need to work on. In about 40 minutes, you can be tested and know what areas are weaker and need attention.

Ask for a Maximum Effect Test or “Max F”    Test for short.

You will be scheduled for a convenient appointment. Allow about an hour for the evaluation. Wear comfortable workout clothes.

Our doctor will be available to answer any questions you may have about your results.
